In brief
An interactive in the wild indoor and outdoor adventure centre located at the NEC. It opened in the autumn of 2018, and is based on the adventures of Bear Grylls. It is run by Merlin Entertainments.

Site history
The Bear Grylls Adventure was built on land next to Hall 1 at the NEC. Previously this was the site of flags of the world. There was also three plaques, one unveiled in 1973 unveiled by the then Prime Minister Edward Heath. Followed by The Queen in 1976 who officially opened the National Exhibition Centre. The last plaque from 1998 was from the Lions Club.

Construction of The Bear Grylls Adventure
The Bear Grylls Adventure was built during the summer of 2018, around the same time that Halls 1 and 5 at the NEC were being recladded / modernised. McCoff Construction partnered with Merlin Entertainments.

The Bear Grylls Adventure after opening
The facility was open to the public by the autumn of 2018.
